Wujin locates in the center of Yangtse delta, adjacent to Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi to the east and borders Nanjin, Zhenjiang to the west with total 1242km² area and near l million population. There are 22 subsidiary towns ,one Wujin High&New Technology Industry Development Zone and one Wujin Foreign-oriented Agricultural Comprehensive Development Zone.

Geographic location and transportation conditions£º
Wujin locates in the southern wing of Changzhou with advantageous geographic conditions and convenient transportation, Beijin-Hangzhou railway and Beijin-Hangzhou canal running across the area, linking with Shanghai harbor, Zhangjia Harbor and Changzhou Harbor. Hi-Ning expressway and Hu-Ning railway are adjacent to the district, through which the whole district can be connected with the national railway net. Xinchang Railway joins Longhai and Zhegan these two railway arteries. By all these, Wujin becomes the important transportation pivot.
